Reality, day one


It’s Monday. My first Monday at home since finishing work. I’ve been mindful of the need to structure my days with purpose and activity so I don’t fall into some kind of pyjama-wearing, lounge-ridden slump. Unlikely, I know, but I’m all about the planning.

So, this morning I had arranged for a tradie to check out some stuff at my place at 8am to ensure I actually got out of bed. Then I drove up to Middle Brighton Baths and walked up to Elwood Beach and back. I don’t want to jump on the #grateful bandwagon, but today I’m feeling incredibly thankful for the life events that have led to me living here.


So it’s onwards with day one of ‘funemployment’. I have a long list of admin to get through, plus a new vegan recipe to try for lunch. I could get used to this…
